Physical models laboratory

The Physical models laboratory of the Ferrara University Architectural Department started its activities aiming at improving the services toward the faculty students. In one hand this space is thus a help desk for students and researchers and in the other hand a qualified structure the which could assist professionals during the realization of models. Stages and courses are also available on 3D modeling (both digi-tal and physical) at different scales and details. The laboratory staff can mix traditional and innovative techniques such as:

- a rapid 3D prototyping system based on chalk technologies the which can reproduce objects in few hours without the support of tools and working linked to the digital 3d model imported by traditional 3D CAD  software;

- a system based on a three axis CNC machine tool, a numerical control machine able to produce both 2D and 3D models at different scales using wood and other selected materials.
