Gender Medicine

The interdisciplinary and scientific approach of Gender Medicine explores the biological and psychosocial differences between men and women (and other sexual identities, cfr) that concern both the awareness of health and the development, the perception and the way of treatment of diseases ("bio-psycho-social model").

Gender differences are sometimes obvious, sometimes subtle and still unknown. New clinically relevant knowledge should implement into clinical practice and lead to optimized treatment for both men and women.
