Training objectives
- The course aims at developing at an intermediate/advanced level some of the most relevant topics recently discussed in macroeconomic theory, with reference both to short run and long run analysis.
Prerequisites
- The knowledge of the main issues presented in the undergraduate courses of macroeconomics and microeconomics is required.

- Introduction - Recent macroeconomic trends. International capital mobility and financial integration
Open economy macroeconomics - Models of exchange rate determination. Exchange rate regime choice. Monetary integration and EMU
Economic growth - Growth models. Economic policy for growth Didactic methods
- Lectures/seminars.
