Training objectives
- The aim of the course is the analysis of the main theories and tools for the management of costs according to a strategic approach. In particular: critical analysis and rethinking of corporate activities from a systemic perspective, as well as the various processes and tools for the rationalization and management of business costs.
At the end of the course the student is able:
- to analyze the costs of a firm
- to plan the operations for the production of services
- to curry out a diagnostic analysis of business issues (in terms of processes and costs)
- to plan management skills in the presence of constraints
- to recognize the opportunity of applying between the different cost management tools related to business issues Prerequisites

- The course is structured in blended mode at about 50%.
- Face-to-face lessons will take place regularly in the classroom in which moments of comparison will be included for individual work aimed at passing the final exam (option valid for attending students).
- The distance lessons will be realized through theoretical teaching modules uploaded on Classroom dedicated to teaching.
We will try to concentrate the lessons in presence in a single week alternating with distance lessons always asynchronous (no streaming)

- The verification of the learning of the contents will take place through two different methods chosen by the students
1) Attending students: Presentation of a research (thesis) on a topic treated in class and agreed with the teacher. The methods and topics will be explained during the course. The thesis must be about 20 folders (word pages). The thesis must be carried out individually, must be sent by e-mail to the teacher and in the manner explained in the classroom
2) NON-Attending: Traditional test in 3 open questions (if carried out in presence) of 10.33 points each. Reference texts
- "Supply chain management. Strategie, processi, performance", Krajewski, Ritzman, Malhotra, Grando e Secchi; Pearson, 2015. The text can be in both paper that e.book
