Training objectives
- the course will focus on the analysis of the relationships between Geoeconomics and Geopolitics with particular reference to the role of China. The goal is to apply the theoretical and applied tools learned by students during their studies in a specific context. We will focus on the role of industrial policies, on structural change and on how business strategies must adapt to an evolving context

- The topics covered during the course will be the following
• Introduction to the concepts of globalization and policy risks
• Introduction to the Chinese economy
• Chinese history till 1978
• Chinese reforms
• Innovation in China
• BRI and China 2025
• China and US trade war
• Foxconn and semiconductors case studies
• The role of e-platforms
• National security and political risks
• Covid 19 Didactic methods

Learning assessment procedures
- for attending students: written exam (50% final vote) and presentation of a paper (50%)
