Training objectives

The course is the teaching of General Physiology and examines the basic elements of an organ systems from the point Biological, Biochemical and Physiological, treating the functional biology of the animal and the human.
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the foundation for the study of complex biological systems and their interconnections in the maintenance of vital functions and homeostatic and interrelationships between the internal and external environment of the organism.
The main knowledge gained will be:
• The basic functional elements of cellular homeostasis maintenance systems;
• Knowledge related to the potential of membranes and communication mechanisms between excitable cells;
• Functional elements of receptor systems of somatic sensation;
• Physiology of the specific sensitivity, eye, ear, taste and smell;
• Key Features of the central and autonomic nervous system;
• Physiology of blood and basic knowledge for the study of the vascular system;
• Physiology of the heart muscle, integration of cardiovascular function in the regulation of systemic blood pressure;
• Respiration;
• Kidney functional elements in the maintenance of homeostasis saline and hydro pressure;
• Knowledge of the physiology of muscle and muscle movement;
• Functional characteristics of the endocrine system
• Study of the body's energy balance regulation and thermoregulation processes;

Prerequisites

It 'must have acquired and assimilated the following knowledge provided by the courses of Molecular Biology, Morphology and Biochemistry.
• knowledge of the fundamental concepts of biology;
• knowledge of cytology, histology and anatomy of man;
• knowledge of the cellular and molecular biochemical mechanisms.
