Training objectives
- Training on safety in the workplace is a discipline required by law for the protection of students who have in their training workshop activities.
The main objective of the course is to provide students with the essential information regarding safety in the workplace, both generally and in relation to specific risks, before tackling practical workshop activities.
The student acquires knowledge:
- main regulations regarding safety in the workplace
- roles and responsibilities of those involved in security
- risk factors and the compilation of the DVR
- provision of safety and DPI
- Health surveillance
- Emergency management
- The chemical risk
- The biohazard
- The VDT risk
- Work equipment
- Waste management
- First aid
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
The student will be able to participate in educational laboratory activities implementing major behavior required by safety regulations and good practices in use.
It will be able to be put in correct behavior in case it has to face emergency situations, with particular reference to the first aid. Prerequisites
- Basic civics knowledge.
Course programme
- -IN THE FIRST PART (About 4 hours e-learning) the student will address the issues of general education on safety in the workplace, as well as provided by law: Article 37, paragraph 2 of Legislative Decree 81/08 and Agreement State Regions 12/2011.
In particular it will know in detail the concepts of risk, harm, prevention and its behavior to adopt in order to protect their safety and health and that of their colleagues.
-IN THE SECOND PART (About 4 hours e-learning) the student will address the special risks to laboratory activities under the training course: chemical, biohazard, VDT risk, work equipment, waste management.
-IN THE THIRD PART (4 hours frontal lectures): First aid signs and self-rescue; safety in chemical and biological laboratories. Didactic methods
- The course consists of 8 hours of e-learning training and 4 hours of lectures.
The learning platform "formazionesicurezza.unife.it" delivers the content as indicated in the State-Regions Agreement of 2011 and the experimental educational project, registered in the Emilia Romagna (n. PG / 2014/0470371 of 04/12/2014 ), for the extension of the training e-learning beyond the limits by the State-Regions Agreement.
Lectures include the use of power point, movies, and other teaching aids necessary to show BLSD techniques (adult mannequin, child, defibrillator…). Learning assessment procedures

The student must answer 31 questions, randomly selected by the program, choosing one of the two proposed options. The time available is 30 minutes. The test is passed to the achievement of 18 points.
The program automatically proceeds to the test correction and checked by the teacher, within 10 minutes from the end of the appeal, the system sends by e-mail the test result and the PDF file of the certificate of eligibility, recognized by the Provincial Directorate of AUSL, equivalent to 12 hours of training (medium risk) in accordance with the provisions of art. 37 of Legislative Decree no. 81/2008 and Agreement State / Regions 12/2011 Reference texts
