DESCRIPTION OF THE TRAINING COURSE

Training activities. The course encompasses basic training activities and characterizing training activities that will be attended during the first four years. Training activities include theoretical lessons as well as laboratory practice for some of the main subjects. The basic training activities are designed to provide knowledge of mathematics, physics, good knowledge of chemistry, as well as basic notions in biology, medicine and morphology. Furthermore, the characterizing training activities furnish in-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical chemistry, pharmaceutical technology, biochemistry, pharmacology and pharmacognosy. In addition, the training includes optional courses freely chosen by the students in agreement with the academic offer.

Professional Internship. At the end of the fourth year students must attend a professional internship of 750 hours (30 CFU) to be spent in a public/private pharmacy according to appropriate rules published at  http://www.unife.it/farmacia/lm.farmacia/studiare/tirocinio-professionale/procedura-da-giugno-2017/il-tirocinio-professionale-in-farmacia-nuova-procedura-dal-1-giugno-2017.

Final thesis. The study path will conclude with a final written thesis resulting from individual activities performed in a research laboratory under the supervision of a professor as tutor. The final grade will be established by a Committee on the base of the single academic career (average of the evaluations obtained in each examination)  and the skills exhibited by the student during the final discussion of the thesis.
