Training objectives

Acquire basic knowledge on sustainable development in both anthropogenic and natural environment through the development of economic analysis, urban planning, and landscape with exploring resources such as the concept of smart growth, the observatory of the landscape and the use of protocols of the international environmental certification.

Prerequisites

Basic knowledge of techniques of representation of the territory both natural and anthropic.
Basic knowledge of the shape of the city, the building and principles of holistic transformation of the territory

Course programme

Sustainable development is a holistic process, aiming to achieve the environmental well-being, economic and social.
Study the environment natural and antropic with the concept of the Transect, TND-Traditional Neighborhood Development, TOD Transit-Oriented Development, Urban Infill, Urban Code.
System of participatory planning: introduction to the method Charrette and Agrarian Urbanism and Smart Growth.
Introduction to the concept of SWOT matrix and the design of the system Osservatoro Landscape.

Development of a case study.
