Training objectives
- Aim of the course is to provide some advanced mathematical tools, which are needed for the formation of an engineer.
Prerequisites
- Advanced calculus for functions of one and several real variables.
Course programme
- Function, power and Fourier series. Integration of ordinary differential equations by power series. Introduction to partial differential equations. Fourier transform. Vibrations.
Didactic methods
- Lectures and exercise sessions.
Learning assessment procedures
- The final examination consists of a written and an oral part.
