Training objectives
- The course intends to explain the most interesting features of cathodic protection technique in relation to the most advanced electrochemical and corrosion knowledges.

- Knowledge of general principles of corrosion are required

- General aspects of cathodic protection. Protection potential. Protection current. Current and potential distribution. Electric interference. Monitoring of cathodic protection. Galvanic Anodes. Anodes for systems of imposed current. Corrosion in soil. Cathodic protection in soil.Marine corrosion and Cathodic protection in sea water.Corrosion in concrete. Electrochemical techniques of reinforcing protection in concrete.
