Training objectives
- The course is aimed at showing the main characteristics of some manufacturing techniques. The focus is on the mechanical principles on which such processes are based and on main concerns related to process planning and execution. During the exams, beside the knowledge of the program, students are evaluated on the basis of their ability in comparing and choosing among alternative manufacturing processes.
Prerequisites
- It is required the knowledge of (i) basic elements of chemistry (atoms and bond types), (ii) state diagrams, (iii) tension test

- the course consists of 24 lectures about manufacturing processes. Subjects presented in the course are also available as recordings freely downloadable from Google Drive
Learning assessment procedures
- The written examination consists of numerous questions, open and specific, on the lecture contents. Online exams are oral. For each student 4 questions. All questions have the same weight to make up the final mark.
