Training objectives
- During the course students will acquire a competence useful for a more complete and solid knowledge of masterpieces of Italian literature of Renaissance, by the study of their manuscripts and prints and of their textual reconstruction.

Course programme
- The course is devoted to the history of tradition of same Renaissance masterpieces and the modalities to do their critical editions (for example the vernacular translation of Xenophonte's Ciropaideia by Boiardo, the vernacular translation of Plutarch's De fortuna aut virtute Alexandri Magniby Ludovico sandeo, the Ariosto's comedy La Cassaria on poetry and the famous "Cinque canti").
Didactic methods
- Frontal lessons. Analysis of the textual tradition of literary works of different genres and reading of texts with author's variants
Learning assessment procedures
- Oral questions on the topics covered, as many as necessary to verify the level of student learning
