Training objectives
- General aims: to acquire a method of reading and analysis of ancient philosophical texts on the background of the history of ancient philosophy from the Presocratics to Plotinus.
Prerequisites
- A good knowledge of spoken and written Italian language.
Course programme
- History of ancient philosophy from the Milesians to Plotinus, and in particular a study of the construction of Plato's thought.
Didactic methods
- Text reading, philosophical discussion.
Learning assessment procedures
- Oral examination.
