Training objectives
- (a) Acquisition of basic knowledge of the fundamental aspects of the history of moral philosophy. (b) Acquisition of critical tools for the understanding and the analysis of philosophical texts in moral philosophy. (c) Acquisition of abilities to construct and communicate
argumentative reasoning related to the moral philosophical concepts treated in the context of the course. Prerequisites

Course programme
- The course will be dedicated to exemplary moral philosophical concepts from the history of ethics. It will consist of two parts. The first part will deal with exemplary moral theories from the history of philosophy; the second part will be dedicated to some classics of the history of ethics (i.e. Aristotle, Hobbes, Hume, Rousseau, Kant).
Didactic methods
- Lectures and seminar-style discussions. Slides will be used where appropriate.

- Written exam (multiple-choice and open-ended questions).
