Training objectives
- The course intends to provide basic knowledge within the field of the history of moral philosophy, through the analysis of significant traditions, moments and figures in the historical and philosophical contexts from ancient to contemporary debates.

Course programme
- The aim of this course is to introduce students to some central questions of moral philosophy.
In the first part of the course, lectures will give a brief historical account, from ancient to contemporary moral debates. In the second part, lectures will focus on the philosophy of Hans Jonas and his "The Imperative of Responsibility". Didactic methods
- Standard lectures with the use of slides and the reading of primary sources.
Learning assessment procedures
- The written exam will be structured with Multiple Choices and/or True/False sentences and/or Open Questions on the overall program.
