Training objectives
- Objectives
1. prepare future early childhood educators to establish narrative communication between childhood and cultures;
2. offer theoretical but also practical ideas to build a plural language from the first years of children's life;
a. Transversal skills: empathic and relational skills in the contexts of cultural difference.
b. Knowledge: dialogic and narrative methods and strategies aimed at both children and parents who come from different cultural backgrounds.
c. Ability: Linguistic-narrative creativity, storytelling. Prerequisites

Course programme
- Tools to help the child from the first years of life to forge their own language on the paradigm of difference, because language and its structure convey a vision of the world, a sensitivity that is good to be intercultural if we want to prepare a future of welcome and integration .
Analysis of narratives and lullabies and nursery rhymes dedicated to early childhood and from different parts of the world. Didactic methods
- The teaching includes both theoretical lessons and laboratory and comparison moments.
Theoretical lessons will use a methodology that integrates frontal and dialogic lessons through the explanation of concepts and their discussion through the analysis of applications and texts and experiences that approach them.
The practical lessons both in the classroom and in the laboratory include the analysis of real cases and the planning of possible didactic interventions that develop the teaching theme.
The lessons will be held face to face and supplementary material (Videolessons, eBooks and Reading) will be provided through the reference ClassRooms to support those who cannot attend the entire course or some lessons. Learning assessment procedures
- The exam consists of a written reflection (short theme) on one of the themes developed during the course and presented in the Reference Texts.
The written reflection should show the full achievement of the teaching objectives.
The time available will be 45 minutes.
During the exam, only the texts of the bibliography can be consulted.
The grade will take into account the following parameters (each evaluated with a maximum of 10 points) which must all be sufficient to pass the test:
1. thorough knowledge of the contents
2. logical coherence in the presentation
