Training objectives
- 1) TOPIC KNOWLEDGE
This training intended to offer its students a deeper knowleDge on different managing matters connected to determining of needs, scheduling, planning, manage and co-ordination of health and social service dedicated to persons and to community, as well as the role, characteristics and structure on the interventions taken from different institutional and professional bodies.
2) APPLICATION CAPABILITIES
Develop analysis and comprehension competencies on deeper tendencies of social services in Italy, in order to catch strength and critical topics.
3) TRANSVERSAL SKILL
Develop Team work capability
Develop reflective, critical and comparison capability on proposed themes Prerequisites
- Basical knowledge on general sociology.
Course programme
- On introducing part of this training will be outlined evolution and transformation on social intervention in Italy, delineating principal social policy reforms until the National Low approvation regarding social services and modification of title V on second part of the Constitution.
Beginning from “ Service to the person” evolution, it will pass to the third and fourth sectors knowledge and treatment of integrated system on health and social service assistance intervention.
It will be than going deeper on “governance” theme and service network centrality examining institutional bodies, structure and functions.
The ending part of this training will be finally dedicated to deepening the theme of immigration, with seminar meeting and principal bodies on service network involvement. Didactic methods
- To encourage learning, in addition to the lessons, which will be video-recorded and made available in the Classroom (whose access code will be made available in the "Useful Information" section of the Course page), students will be involved in dialogical meetings and discussions with local operators. These meetings, if possible, will take place in person or - in any case - will be organized during the times and days of the course and carried out live on Meet.
All the materials used during the course will be made available to students on the teacher's minisite. Learning assessment procedures
- The exam will be in oral form. Given the current pandemic situation and the provisions adopted for its containment, it can be carried out remotely (on the Meet platform) or, if possible, in presence.
The goal is to verify if the student has learned the topics addressed during the recorded video-lessons, seminars and meetings with local operators, the contents of the exam texts and if he has reached a global and organic vision of the issues treated. Reference texts

For the monographic part dedicated to the migratory phenomenon:

Important confirmation:
As per Course Study Council on “Educational and philosophical Science” dated 26/01/16 Resolution, the exam program of A.Y. 2021/2022 is valid until examination session January/February 2023.
