Training objectives

Knowledge and understanding of the close interdependence between individual functioning in early childhood and the context of care
Knowledge of parental functioning and the most important forms of parental dysfunctionality
Knowledge of the main clinical pictures that can occur in early childhood, their relational matrix, their possible expression in institutional contexts;
Knowledge of the role and educational support of dysfunctional parenting and children in early childhood.

Prerequisites

It is required a basic knowledge of developmental psychology

Course programme

1. Theoretical frameworks an definitions of developmental psychopathology
3. The diagnosis of the child and the parent-child relationship
4. Diagnostic systems for child psychopathology
5. Clinical and psychoeducational work with children and their families

Didactic methods

Learning platform, on line tutorials, use of video and narrative texts. On line conferences.

Learning assessment procedures

For non-attending students, the exam is oral with in-depth questions on the contents of the texts indicated.

For attending students the
exam takes place through intermediate written tests
on the contents of the lessons and on the exam texts.
The evaluation for both the oral exam and the intermediate tests will be carried out on the basis of the following criteria: a) the student's ability to apply the theoretical acquisitions gained both with the study and, for attending students, with active participation in the lessons and activities proposed;
b) exhibition skills and personal re-elaboration of the acquired knowledge.
The overall evaluation, expressed in thirtieths, derives from the sum of the evaluations of the individual responses. The single response is considered sufficient (18/30) if it has non-serious imperfections.
