KNOWLEDGE: Literary texts and argumentative expressed in various linguistic registers, whole novels, short stories, poems, songs, films based on literary works. Vocabulary, verbal expressions, idiomatic phraseology frequently related. morphosyntactic complex structures. linguistics of modern language concepts. Structures and characteristics of the main genres and text types. Variety of books and texts.
SKILLS: Understand, analyze, interpret and comment oral and written texts of different types of diverse topics and also disseminated by the media; and related topics at the literary-linguistic. Understand, analyze and interpret the cultural productions of different types and genres of the country of which the language is spoken. Reflect on the linguistic system and on linguistic habits in order to enhance the awareness of similarities and differences with the Italian language. Translating a topical text. Prerequisites

Course programme
- The teaching of the French language consists of grammatical and syntactical depth courses, translation into French, textual analysis, commentary of literary songs, conversation and speaking with a French mother tongue teacher, audiovisual language laboratory.
They will be analyzed texts that favor linguistic communication specialist and literary. In addition, part of the lectures will be devoted to the analysis of a work of contemporary fiction in French.

- The final exam includes three written tests and an oral test, articulated as follows:
1- translation into French of a topical text.
2- Commentaire composé: structured review of a piece of literature. You may use the vocabulary monolingual French (for students do not speak Italian, is allowed bilingual dictionary Italian mother-tongue).
3- Dictée
4- Oral test (can be performed only after passing the written tests): review of current text and / or questions regarding the issues of language or grammar studied in class and / or review of the novel Suite Française d'Irène Némirovsky (2004). Reference texts
