Training objectives
- Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) level B2.Consolidate and expand grammar and vocabulary learnt in the first year. Develop the four language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking.
Students will be put in groups according to their first year English exam results. Prerequisites
- Students must pass English I in order to enroll in English II

- Lessons 3+1 (SKILLS) times a week.
Language learning methods, use of authentic listening and reading material, exam techniques, regular progress tests, grammar practice, conversation classes, narrative composition, writing reviews, essays and letters.
Oral presentations: during the course students are required to give a 10 minute oral presentation on a topic related to the contemporary culture of an English-speaking country. This can form the basis of the final oral examination for Language students. Learning assessment procedures
- Final Exam: Written Exam without dictionary. Speaking session after passing the written and listening tests. A mock exam will be available at least one month before the official exam.
Exam Dates: June, July, September 2014, January 2015
Exam layout: Written Exam (3 hours)
Part 1: Reading comprehension answering 8 questions with multiple choice answers.
Part 2: Cloze Test, fill in the gap text.
Part 3: Translation.
Part 4: Gap Filling, using words given.
Part 5: Sentence transformation.
Part 6: Guided Writing (200 words)
Part 7: Writing, selecting one from a choice of three (200 words)

Two listenings with 12 gap fills
