Training objectives

The Course provides a methodological and historical preparation in order to be able to use different kinds of sources (literary and documentary), this is considered as the most important method to understand the Antiquity.

Course programme

- The Course, of 6 ECTS, is composed by three principal moments:
- the first part (1 ECTS) has to transmit the foundamental methodological knowledges essential for starting approaching with Roman History's sources;
- the second part (3 ECTS) is about Roman History, focused on principal events, from Rome foundation to the end of the Occidental Roman Empire;
- the third (2 ECTS), analyzes Roman provinces.
