Training objectives
- Acquisition of the four language skills (comprehension and written and oral production) on an intermediate level.
Consolidation of the linguistic skills acquired in the first year of the degree course.
Final objective: level B1/B2 of the European Framework. Prerequisites
- Level A2/B1 of the European Framework
Course programme
- Analysis and in-depth study of complex syntax and grammatical problems, critical text analysis, expansion of vocabulary and more complex grammatical structures; development of oral and listening skills at C1/C2 level; in particular discussions, analyses, conversations and comments on current and complex topics on which the examination is based; critical text analysis, which will be developed and refined throughout the course by reading current texts with reference to German culture, politics and everyday life, reading of individual literary texts.
Language study (taught by a mother-tongue language trainer):
Analysis of complex syntax structures and text linguistics; development of oral competence and listening comprehension at level C1/C1+; discussion, analysis and commentary of current issues; critical text analysis. Consolidation of oral skills through listening comprehension, conversation, and discussion. Didactic methods

Learning assessment procedures
- Written exam.
