Training objectives
- Basic knowledge of current research on teaching methods; insight and first experience in teaching German as a foreign language.
Language study (taught by a mother-tongue language trainer):
The main objectives of the course are to develop profound theoretical and functional language skills to improve comprehension and analysis of written and oral material.
Final objective: level C1 of the European Framework. Prerequisites
- Level B2+ of the European Framework
German (1st semester) Course programme
- Learning theories (grammatical, audiolingual, communicative and intercultural approach); multimedia didactics (use of visual and digital support: apps, educast etc.), analysis of exemplary situations (from videos), production of online foreign language teaching materials.
Didactic methods
- Interactive method (lecture, individual and group work), student presentations, guided and autonomous research, written paper; supervised practical experience (demonstration lesson at school).
Learning assessment procedures
- Written assignment: production of an educast.
Oral examination: discussion of the educast.
The educast must be handed in one week before the exam date. Reference texts
