Training objectives
- To provide knowledge about drawing up and formulation of dietes for adult and old subjects in physiological and overall pathological state and eating disorders (ED).
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge about subjects of first, second and third years, (first semester) of course.
Course programme
- Drawing up and formulation of normocaloric, low caloric and high caloric dietes for subjects of different age and sex, in physiological and overall pathological state: anamnesis; nutritional antropometry; valuation of body mass index; desirable physiologic weight; basal metabolism and energy expenditure with working activities and non-occupational activities; calculation of daily energy intake about pathology; protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamine and mineral rations; energy distribution; weekly menu; nutrients and energy of diet; PCal%, FCal%, CHOCal%; comparison with LARN.
Eating disease (ED): anamnesis, evaluation of nutritional status, dietotherapy; ability to establish a relationship with a patient with psychiatric symptoms. Didactic methods
- Lectures, theoretical and practical activities, practical activities.
Learning assessment procedures
- Drafting of a dietary pattern, with its written report. Oral examination.
