Training objectives
- To provide knowledge about drawing up and formulation of dietes for athletes, pregnant and lactating women.
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge about subjects of first and second years of course.
Course programme
- Drawing up and formulation of normocaloric, low caloric and high caloric diets for athletes of different age and sex: nutritional anamnesis; assessment of the nutritional antropometry; assessment of the state of hydration, lean body mass and fat mass; valuation of body constitution, body morphology and degree of obesity; calculation of body mass index; desirable physiologic weight; basal metabolic rate and daily energy expenditure with working activities and sports (type, frequency, intensity and period); calculation of protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamin and mineral rations; energy distribution of meals; weekly menu; nutrients and energy of diet; determination of PCal%, FCal%, CHOCal%; comparison with LARN.
Drawing up and formulation of normocaloric, low caloric and high caloric dietes for pregnant and lactating women: nutritional anamnesis; assessment of the nutritional antropometry; assessment of nutritional status current and previous (BMI); desirable physiologic weight; basal metabolic rate and daily energy expenditure with working activities; nutritional requirements of pregnant and lactating women; calculation of daily protein, fat, carbohydrate, vitamin and mineral rations; energy distribution of meals;weekly menu; nutrients and energy of diet; determination of PCal%, FCal%, CHOCal%; comparison with LARN. Didactic methods
- The training activities are organized as follows:
•lectures throughout the program
•theoretical and practical activities
•practical activities in the ward or clinic Learning assessment procedures
- Drafting of a dietary pattern, with its written report. Ongoing evaluation of the first half helps to make the vote scheduled for the second half.
