Didactic methods

Internship, with the gradual acquisition of autonomy by the student, in various Services with the assistance of an internship tutor / guide (generally in a 1: 1 ratio)
Use of learning contracts and internship self-evaluation, and performance indicators for the evaluation / self-evaluation of internship skills.
Use of specific learning tools by area of expertise (physiotherapy record with section for clinical reflection and reasoning; Briefing / debriefing (pre-internship, in itinere, at the end of the internship).
E-learning (clinical cases in Moodle or specific topics on dedicated websites)
Work on clinical cases. Personal and group feedback sessions.

Learning assessment procedures

1- Collection of structured training feedback from internship tutors / guides (through the appropriate items of learning contracts), cumulated for all internships. The outcome is first represented by frequency distribution and then converted into a thirty second rubric known to students.
2- Structured internship exam at the end of the curricular path, which includes:
- the evaluation of clinical reasoning through the formulation of a physiotherapy project (data collection, diagnosis and prognosis of functioning according to the ICF model, definition of objectives and physiotherapeutic intervention) based on the direct examination of a real patient (drawn by lot among people that have given availability) in a real clinical context.
- the assessment of technical / gestural and communicative / relational skills, through the proposal by the student of a physiotherapy activity with the patient himself.
- the evaluation of applied knowledge, through a written test generally with 10 short open questions, based on micro-cases or contextualized situations.
Each test has a special corrector / evaluation rubric known to the students. The tests generate an overall grade of thirty.
The final grade of the teaching is the mathematical average of the marks generated by tests 1 and 2.
