Training objectives
- PRINCIPLES OF MANUAL THERAPY
Knowledge acquired: Know the rationale and the main manual therapy techniques applied to the various body districts. To know the role of manual therapy in physiotherapy with in-depth analysis in the legal field. Know the most valid and reliable evaluation tools in manual therapy
Skills: Apply the principles of manual therapy in the definition of the various steps of the physiotherapy program in the most frequent orthopedic problems.
CONNECTIVAL MASSAGE AND FUNCTIONAL BANDAGE
-Know the basics, indications and contraindications of connective tissue massage (massage through deep finger pressure, trigger points), the scar tissue massage, bandaging and neuromuscular taping.
Skills -Apply the functional bandage to ankle, the compressive taping and fundamental maneuvers of scar tissue massage and connective tissue massage Prerequisites

- PRINCIPLES OF MANUAL THERAPY
History of manual therapy: basic concepts and peculiarities of the various schools of manual therapy. Clinical reasoning in manual therapy. Evaluation procedure and diagnosis in manual therapy. Basic concepts of the Maitland approach, of the McKenzie approach, of neurodynamics. The treatment of neuro-muscular-joint disorders through manual therapy: an integrated approach to various orthopedic problems. The outcome measures in manual therapy.
CONNECTIVAL MASSAGE AND FUNCTIONAL BANDAGE
The bases, indications and contraindications of connective tissue massage. The deep transverse massage, finger pressure, trigger points. The scar tissue massage. The functional bandage. The neuromuscular taping. Didactic methods
- Interactive lessons. Practical demonstrations.
Learning assessment procedures
- Written exam with multiple choice questions. Weight average of the marks of the tests taken.
