Training objectives
- CORE COMPETENCE TRAINING FOR THE FIRST YEAR
In reference to the core competence of the training:
Prevention: identifying strategies for load handling implemented by operators. Know and apply the principles of hygiene in the prevention of infections. Learn and implement the principles of ergonomics to prevent musculoskeletal damage. Maintain a constant attention to safety conditions for the patient and himself.
Education / self education: Reflecting on the experience and self assessed. Professional Liability: Accept responsibility for your own actions and decisions. Behave according to ethics and professional deontology. Management: Identify areas and skills of the operators of the organization in which you work (particularly nurses of rehabilitation, physiatrists, speech therapists and the OSS). Collaborate on the own training program.
Communication / relationship: Identify elements of verbal and nonverbal communication between professionals and users (patients and their families) and between service operators. Develop skills of observation, listening, communication during the course of the therapeutic activities in the gym. Revision of experiences in subsequent moments with expert teacher. Become aware of their own emotional experience during the relationship / communication with patients and their families.
SEMINAR: INTRODUCTION TO THE PROFESSION
Identify core competencies , essential regulatory issues and various operating and working realities of the profession of Physiotherapist (professional profile and role, code of ethics, rules relating to the rehabilitation and professional culture). Knowing the training offer. Knowing the ICF.
SEMINAR: COMPUTER SCIENCES
At the end of the course, students will be able to interact with the main application. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PPT) achieving the skills necessary to prepare a text document, organize / manage a data set, producing graphs and tables summarizing and illustrating a job through a presentation. Training mode
Predominantly observation training.
Duration: 2 weeks
Setting: Rehabilitation Hospital Type of user: Adult patients with musculoskeletal problems
SEMINAR: INTRODUCTION TO THE PROFESSION
Code of ethics and rules of regulation of the profession. Meaning of rehabilitation. The core competencies of the physiotherapist and the profession declined in different clinical and organizational situations. The physiotherapy process. International classification of functioning, disabilty and health (ICF).
SEMINAR: COMPUTER SCIENCES
Using the Computer and Managing Files. Word 2010. Excel 2010. Powerpoint 2010 Didactic methods
- CORE COMPETENCE TRAINING FOR THE FIRST YEAR
Stay alongside the clinical tutor (physiotherapist), briefing / debriefing, learning contract, formative feedback. Tutorial activities guided by the educational coordinator, in group and individual student, for the definition of educational objectives, reworking of the experiences in training, insights with professors of theoretical courses.

- INTERNSHIP: The evaluation consists of:
- a formative and certificative evaluation by the tutor in internship through the compilation of learning contracts of the planned internship;
The score obtained will converge into the final grade of the second semester.
SEMINAR: INTRODUCTION TO THE PROFESSION: Evaluation associated with core skills o acquired in the practical training programme.
SEMINAR: COMPUTER SCIENCES: the exam, during 1 hour, consists on the creation of 3 charts and 2 graphs in Microsoft Excel format 2010, using a dataset containing the data collected from a survey: for a correct interpretation of the information, the students were given the questionnaire and the relevant encoding plan. For each table and graph made the student receives max. 6 points (4 for the result and 2 for editing). Reference texts
