ASSESSMENT IN THEORY AND YEAR IN PHYSICAL THERAPY KINESIOLOGY
Ability to recognize major anatomical landmarks, passive joint mobilization to run effective, comfortable using sockets; order to recognize the feelings of movement, muscle strength, able to assess and measure the extent of active and passive movement, position the patient and position themselves in ergonomically.
Developmental age. To be able to describe psychomotor development milestones between 0 and 3 years, through observation of the child and to recognise the fundamental milestones in child development.
To be able to recognise the main characteristics of interaction between a child and his environment.
SPECIAL KINESIOLOGY
knowledge: The course aims to help the student toidentify the main types of levers in the musculoskeletal apparatus; identify the role of synergy, antagonism and fixation of muscles in the various body areas, acquire the concept of anatomical and physiological cross section.
abilities: Identify the various types of muscles and their biomechanical role, describe the classification of joints, axes of movement, degrees of freedom of movement, Hill’s muscle model, biomechanics of cartilage, synovial, understand the concept of joint stability (close packed position vs loose packed position), describe the movement of the muscles and joints of the upper and lower limbs, and the back.
MOTOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE NORMAL CHILD
To recognise the normal pattern of neurological development through the normal motor and cognitive milestones between 0 and 3 years. To know the basic elements of embrional development
To know the basic elements of neurophysiology in childhood.
INSTRUMENTAL ANALYSIS OF MOVEMENT
To provide a basic knowledge of the principles and the appropriate use of the most common systems used for the analysis of the human movement.
THEORY TRAINING
Knowledge of basic motor skills and their importance to health. Basic knowledge of demand and supply of energy at different times of stress. Basic knowledge of simple and complex tests to estimate the resilience and draw up a custom motor program. Basic concepts of therapeutic exercise. Creation of individual training programs for the prevention, taking account of diseases related. Monitoring and documentation of the effectiveness of training and therapy.
MASSAGE TECHNIQUES
To know the basic principles of massage therapy with reference to the anatomical-physiology of the various body districts. Know the indications, contraindications and physiological effects of massage. To know how to carry out an anamnesis, a palpation of the tissue to be treated, to know how to apply the basic massage therapy techniques (touching, friction, kneading, percussion) dosing intensity and duration. Know and know how to apply the different types of massage: classic, sports, functional massage.

Prerequisites

Anatomy. Histology. Knowledge of levers.

Learning assessment procedures

ASSESSMENT IN THEORY AND YEAR IN PHYSICAL THERAPY KINESIOLOGY: : The practical examination takes place in pairs and alternately a student is submitted for examination and the other simulates the patient. Usually consists of 3-5 questions for the theoretical and practical content. Each answer is evaluated for completeness, thoroughness, the clarity and the ability to link, rigor, communication skills and manual dexterity. In case of non-exhaustive answers, more questions can be asked.
Methods of observation of movement in developmental age: oral exam structured as follows: The student pull out 4 questions (one for each main topic) from a pool of 100 questions. Depending on the complexity of the argument, the questions have a different weight. For each response it will assigned maximal thirty points and the final grade is the weighted average of the 4 partial votes.

SPECIAL KINESIOLOGY: 2-3 questions head-on program topics and precisely on the kinesiology of the upper limb, lower limb and spine. The evaluation criteria will be: Completeness of the argument, clarity.
MOTOR DEVELOPMENT OF THE NORMAL CHILD: at the end of teaching course, students should undergo an oral exam in which they should answer to three questions, based upon teaching program. Considering student’s response (completeness, level of details and clarity of argumentation), he is rewarded with a mark between 1 and 10; summing up the three marks produces the final grade that is expressed in thirtieths.
INSTRUMENTAL ANALYSIS OF MOVEMENT: written exam consists of 11 multiple choice questions. If correct answer are assigned 3 point; if all correct answers = 30 and praise. The time allowed for this test is 30 minutes.
THEORY TRAINING: a multiple-choice written exam, which includes 10 questions; for each question it is possible to choose between 4 different answers, of which only one is correct. The time for the test is 20 minutes. If the written test results negative (more than 4 errors), will follow an oral exam on the wrong questions.
MASSAGE TECHNIQUES: The oral examination consists of two parts:
- Theoretical part: a) presentation of a topic of your choice and b) from a pool of 20 questions the student must answer two.
- Practical part: the student extracts a body area that he has to treat with the techniques learned.
For the theoretical part are assigned between 0 and 5 points (depending on the difficulty of the question).
For the practical part are assigned between 0 and 25 points.
The final score emerges from the sum of the partial scores.
