PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR RESPIRATORY, ONCOLOGICAL AND PELVIC FLOOR DISORDERS
Provide the student with tools to evaluate, through clinical observation, detection and interpretation of instrumental data, injury, disability and handicap in pulmonary, uro-gynecological and oncological rehabilitation. Starting from the analysis of problems, acquire the ability to identify achievable goals through the development of a treatment plan and verification of results. Make the student able to use the basic techniques of physiotherapy in respiratory, pelvic floor and oncological rehabilitation.
RESPIRATORY REHABILITATION
Acquire the basic concepts of the rehabilitative approach and methods of rehabilitation intervention to major disability secondary to respiratory disease (the rules for proper taking care of patients with an outcome of respiratory impairments). Knowing, on the basis of the pathophysiology of alterations of the functions and body structures, the rational and the approaches to major disability secondary to respiratory problems.
RESPIRATORY DISORDERS IN PHYSIOTHERAPY SETTING
Understand and describe the physiology and pathophysiology of the respiratory system. Know the classification of the major diseases of the respiratory system and their effects on the body.
CARDIOVASCULAR PHYSIOTHERAPY
At the end of the course the student should be able to know the definitions of symptoms, syndromes, and clinical course of heart disease, with particular attention to the physiotherapy treatment.
ONCOLOGY IN PHYSIOTHERAPY
Know the general principles of oncology: the genesis of cancer and treatment options.
SKILLS LABORATORY FOR ASSESSMENT AND TECHNIQUES IN CARDIO- RESPIRATORY VISCERAL SETTINGS
Provide students with the basics of cardiovascular rehabilitation. Knowing the international guidelines of cardiac rehabilitation and create a rehabilitation program based on their recommendations.
SEMINAR OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING ACTIVITIES (ELEMENTS OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS)
To provide students with the basics of differential diagnosis thinking in physiotherapy.

- PHYSIOTHERAPY FOR RESPIRATORY, ONCOLOGICAL AND PELVIC FLOOR DISORDERS
Respiratory physiotherapy: oral and practical examination. Each student extracts a slip (from a set of slips) containing 2 questions: one theoretical and one with a practical task. It is evaluated: the hygiene, patient positioning / transfer, the communicative-relational aspect, the correct technique and ergonomics. The theoretical question are assigned max 10 points, the practical application are assigned max 20 points.
Oncological physiotherapy: multiple choice written examination consists of 16 questions, some of which with double answer. Each correct answer has a score of 2 points, if the student gives only one correct answer out of two, he gets a score of one point. No penalty will be applied in case of wrong answer or no answer. With 16 right answers: 30 and praise. Time available: 30 minutes.
Physiotherapy in pelvic floor injuries: oral examination consists of the analysis and solution of a case. The student must perform a functional assessment, set goals and physiotherapy intervention. The rating consider the completeness, the level of detail and clarity in the argument, the capacity of analysis and clinical reasoning.
RESPIRATORY REHABILITATION: the exam consists of 30 multiple-choice quiz, one correct. Available to the student time : 60 minutes
RESPIRATORY DISORDERS IN PHYSIOTHERAPY SETTING: the oral exam consists of 3 questions, extracted from a pool of questions on topics covered in the course. For each response they are assigned max 10 points, depends on completeness, level of detail and clarity of the argumentation. If the teacher is in doubt, he can propose another question.
CARDIOVASCULAR PHYSIOTHERAPY: The exam is based on 15 multiple choice questions with 3 answers each; the question is worth two points if correct, wrong answer or no answer 0 points. To pass this test it is required to get at least 18 points. The time allowed for this test is 1 hour.
ONCOLOGY IN PHYSIOTHERAPY: The examination will be multiple choice and 12 questions will be asked. Each question has four answers and only one is correct. Every correct answered question gives 2,5 point. There is no deduction of points for a wrong answer. To pass the exam must be at least 7 correct answers The students should solve the test in 30 minutes.
LABORATORY: the oral exam consists of 3 questions on topics covered in the course. For each response they are assigned max 10 points, depends on completeness, level of detail and clarity of the argumentation. If the teacher is in doubt, he can propose another question.
SEMINAR OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING ACTIVITIES (ELEMENTS OF DIFFERENTIAL DIAGNOSIS): the oral examination consists on the discussion of a clinical case assigned by the lecturer. Students must answer 3 questions (DD, red flegs and test) and each complete and exhaustive answer is awarded a maximum of 10 points.
The final grade results from the weighted average of the partial ratings. Reference texts
