PHYSIOTHERAPY IN DEVELOPING AGE
On completion of the course the students are expected to be able to:
-evaluate function (motor, sensory, communication, interaction, cognitive)
- Formulate the physiotherapy functional diagnosis;
- identify the functional prognosis also in relation to the level of modifiability of the problems.
- formulate (through clinical reasoning) goals.
- define the program of physiotherapy intervention in relation to the objectives by identifying intensity, frequency, duration, facilities, contraindications, and rules for the stop.
- identify aids and orthoses useful for patient autonomy.
- identify and describe the role of the physiotherapist in the rehabilitation team.
FUNCTIONAL CHANGES IN DEVELOPING AGE
Know the main clinical features of the most common neurological diseases in pediatric age and learn to know them based on observing the child
PEDIATRICS
Provide the main concepts of auxology and development in developmental age.
Study of pediatric diseases that may require physiotherapy rehabilitation .

Learning assessment procedures

PHYSIOTHERAPY IN DEVELOPING AGE: Examination is structured in two parts: - oral exam: the student extract 4 questions (one for each subject matter) from a pool of some 100 questions. For each response it will award a mark of thirty and the final grade is the average of the 4 partial votes. - practical exam: 3 students receive a clinical case (on paper) during lessons. They must expose the teacher and the class the case, extrapolating the main problem, treatment goals and intervention strategies for the specific case. The rating is given based on clinical reasoning made by the student and is added to the vote of the oral responses and averaged. In case of doubts, the teacher can ask further questions.

FUNCTIONAL CHANGES IN ADOLESCENT AGE: written examination consists of 15 multiple choice questions and for every correct answer is awarded two points; the candidate must be allowed 60 minutes. For passing the test, at least 9 answers must be correct.

PEDIATRICS
Written exam: 31 multiple choice questions in 30 minutes. Only one correct answer. If correct answer 1 point, if answered incorrectly or not given 0 points. 31 correct answers = 30 and praise.

The final grade results from the weighted average of the partial ratings.
