General objective

Nursing care to the patient with health problems of a medical and surgical nature in the hospital and long-term setting
Basic nursing skills.
-Postures and handling techniques
-Total and partial hygienic care
-Donning and doffing (person with drip or with hemiplegia
-occupied bed making
-hand hygiene
-use of protective equipment
-assisting with a bedpan or urinal
-urine collection
-urine , stool and sputum laboratory tests
-performing urinary catheterization: female/male
-applying a condom catheter
-administering an enema
-Manual emptying of the stool
-taking a temperature, a pulse, counting -respirations and blood pressure. Performing pulse oximetry
-died preparation
-administering oral, sublingual, rectal ,eye, ear, and topical medication
-administering an intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular injection
-application of heat and cold
-skin ulcer dressing

Evaluation out of thirty for each internship experience carried out. The assessment is carried out by the identified internship guide. The average of the internship evaluations contributes to 80% of the final second year internship mark.
Internship exam: elaboration of a care planning for a patient of medium complexity care with:
carrying out the nursing assessment and development of care planning. Time available 90 minutes. Evaluation out of thirty.
It contributes to 20% of the final grade of the second year internship.
