Identify the features of nursing profession. Know and identify a individual’s unique features in the flow of life and the means one uses to adapt to the environment
GENERAL NURSING/SEMINAR
- Know the historical path of the nursing profession
- Identify roles and responsabilities of the profession nursing in the health system.
- Know how to respond to the needs of nursing.
- Know the elements of the relationship nurse-assisted.
- Understand the concepts of the nursing science
SOCIOLOGY OF HEALTH
Define the notion of health in light of the systemic sociological approach and the perspective of social action, highlighting, in a critical key, the cultural and political dimension of it
SCIENTIFIC ENGLISH
KNOWLEDGE: The programme aims at developing and strengthening grammatical competence at the B1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for languages. Through lectures and class exercises in English, the course provides students with a balanced knowledge of oral and written comprehension.
SKILLS: At the end of the course, students will be able to listen, speak, read and write fluently and accurately on various topics of general knowledge.

There are no specific requirements. In the introduction to the course, which will take place on the first day of lesson, some basic sociological concepts will be illustrated. This conceptual map aims to provide the tools for an easier understanding of the sociology framework that will characterize the course.

The course is organised in two parts:
Recorded lectures: 24 hours of grammar instruction at the B1 CEFR level to introduce students to the main phonological, morphological, syntactical and semantic aspects of the English language, with attention to its application on specialised language.
Lectures in class: 2 hours-focus group to clarification of doubts concerning recorded lectures and guided mock tests.
The grammar module will face the following topics, with specific attention to the use of language in professional life:

Introduction to sociology and the impact of the digital revolution on daily life with particular attention to health and e-care.
Biology as a language of everyday life and the advent of the bionic society.
The names of the disease: Disease, Illness and Sickness, the ESA Model and the medical diagnosis.
Social justice and health: analysis of two complementary perspectives.
Social justice and human improvement, illustration of the relationship between medicine and health improvement.

Recorded lectures: 24 hours dedicated to grammar at the B1 CEFR level will be videorecorded and available online on the e-learning platform that students can access with their UNIFE credentials.

- GENERAL NURSING/SEMINAR
Examination stations
- The 1st station consist of written exam on the subjects discussed during the course, for the evaluation of the knowledge and understanding capacity. Examination time: 2 hours. The station is preliminary to other stations
- The 2nd and 3rd stations consist of oral exam
for the evaluation of the clinical reasoning and critical thinking ; starting with a brief case , students must formulate diagnostic hypotheses , related factors , identify altered functional models and hypotheses for solutions. Examination time: 15’

Short answer questions and/or quizzes on the contents of the program
SCIENTIFIC ENGLISH
WRITTEN EXAMINATION consisting of grammatical exercises at B1 level. Each question is given 1 point if correct; wrong or no answers 0 points. Students are allowed 1 hour for the exam. The pass mark is 18. Grammar books and dictionaries are not allowed.
THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TESTS. Reference texts
