GENERAL SURGERY
To provide the necessary elements to understand the various aspects of general surgery. To underline the importance of the clinical history and the examination of the patients, of surgical physiopathology in order to formulate a differential diagnosis of the clinical conditions
LOCOMOTOR DISEASES
The course aims to provide theoretical and practical knowledge relating to the main Orthopedic (with particular reference to joint degenerative diseases) and Traumatological pathologies.
At the end of the course the student will have to be able to indicate the clinical and instrumental priorities for the purpose of a correct diagnosis through anamnesis, semeiology and instrumental diagnostics.
The student must also know the main types of treatment of these pathologies.
ANAESTHESIA
Provide the knowledge base for the management of the patient in the perioperative period relatively to:
anaesthesia in elective and emergency
management of adverse events in anaesthesia
monitoring systems and devices in anaesthesia
basics in postoperative analgesia and devices for postoperative analgesia
CLINICAL NURSING IN SURGERY + SEMINAR
On completion of the course the student is expected to be able to put into effect the nursing care process in dealing with health problems requiring surgical treatment.

Benign and malignant pathology of lung, mediastinum and pleuras. Venous pathology.
Intestinal occlusion. Acute abdominal. Peritonitis and septic shock. Acute appendices. Open abdomen. Compartmental syndrome. Triage, Vital Parameters ,. ABCDE rating and monitoring. The Trauma. Multiple-choice test (one correct answer out of four options). There will be 15-20 test items. Only the correct answers count.
ANAESTHESIA
Multiple choice quizzes (4 replies); 30 quiz. Evaluation: 0 points for no date answer, -1 Tip for the wrong answer. Test duration 1 hour
CLINICAL NURSING IN SURGERY + SEMINAR
Written exam. With this learning test is going to test the student’s knowledge acquires in the classroom context and its ability to apply the model of care L.J.Carpenito identifying the nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems/potential complications in some surgical clinical cases. The exam is a questionnaire with 6 open questions, for each correct answer 5 point are awarded. Time 1 hour.
THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TESTS. Reference texts
