Training objectives
- This course has as objective to teach the student the diagnostic, therapeutic and multidisciplinary frameworks for morbid obesity and its complications. The anatomical bases of bariatric surgery associated with the metabolic and psycho-social events of obesity constitute an indispensable cultural and educational background for surgeons in the near future.

- Frequency of courses of Surgery
Course programme
- Epidemiology of obesity, etiology, comorbid conditions, diagnostic classification, anatomical and functional bases of post-surgical malabsorption, surgical techniques.

- Lectures, attendance in the Department, Outpatient Clinics and dedicated Operating Room
