Training objectives
- This course has as the objective to teach the student the applications of basilar principles of hearing screening and of hearing rehabilitation.
Prerequisites
- Knowledge of Otorhinolaringology and Audiology
Course programme
- Principles of neonatal hearing screening. Hearing rehabilitation with hearing aids. Cochlear implants: characteristics and applications.
Didactic methods
- Formal teaching. Presentation with slides of clinical cases.
Practical training and presentation of the instrumentation used for the neonatal hearing screening and for hearing rehabilitation. Learning assessment procedures
- Oral examination. The average duration of the exam will be 15-20 minutes. The knowledge and the ability to expose the information will be evaluated.
To pass the exam it is necessary to get at least 18 point out of 30. Reference texts
