Training objectives
- To learn how to diagnose, grade and treat the patient affected by essential hypertension, according to the international and national clin ical guidelines.
Prerequisites
- Familiarity of the student with the basic notions of cardiology and internal medicine
Course programme
- BP measurement and monitoring. Assessment of global cardiovascular risk. Definition and quantification of target organ damage. Life style changes. Pharmacologic treatment.

- Oral exam: two questions on average regarding specific topics of the course, lasting about 15 minutes, aimed also to evaluate ability in communication and connection.
