Training objectives
- The course illustrates the principles of biomedical lasers and their applications in the diagnosis and therapy of ocular pathology. The course is completed with a clinical approach on selected patients with practical utilization of instruments.
Prerequisites
- Basic notions of Physics and Ophthalmology
Course programme
- Light radiations, laser-light, lasers in ophthalmology, laser in ocular pathology, diagnostic lasers, practical aspects of treatment
Didactic methods
- Frontal lessons
Learning assessment procedures
- Oral examination: an average of 3-4 questions on various topics related to the arguments covered during the lectures; duration 15-20 min (evaluating the clarity and the strictness to link the severity and communication skills and understanding of the topics covered).
