Training objectives
- Acquire basic knowledge of electrocardiography and be able to recognize the electrocardiographic changes associated with major cardiac pathologies.
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge of cardiology, particularly ischemic heart disease and major supraventricular and ventricular arrhythmias
Course programme
- Basic knowledge of electrocardiography
Major ECG abnormalities associated with different spectra of ischemic heart disease
Major ECG abnormalities present during: bradyarrhythmias, tachyarrhythmias above-ventricular tachyarrhythmias Didactic methods
- Lectures
Learning assessment procedures
- Oral examination; on average 2 applications of ECG tracings (duration 10 minutes). It assesses the ability to understand the main points of pathological ECG tracings and not, the clarity with which we describe the alterations and the appropriateness of the terms used.
