Training objectives
- The gender medicine is a recent discipline that comes from the observation that most of the studies, in particular those affecting cardiovascular disease, described the disease (epidemiology, pathophysiology, and clinical therapy) focusing primarily or almost exclusively on case studies of one sex. In addition, there are some studies that have instead considered only women and those concerning osteoporosis and depression.
The gender medicine represents a new dimension of medicine that studies the influence of sex (biological) and gender (sociological) on physiology, pathophysiology and human disease. So this figure is to be diagnosed and treated in different ways men and women.
The course aims to cover gender differences in diseases in both men and women (cardiovascular diseases, thrombotic diseases, cancer, metabolic diseases, neurological etc) and to explore the different diagnostic and therapeutic menagement. Prerequisites
