Training objectives
- To introduce the medical Student to practical methods, based on the use of antibodies or immune reactions, in use in basic research and core laboratories of clinical pathology.
Prerequisites
- To have passed the exams of General Pathology I and Immunology, General Pathology II and Physiopathology
Course programme
- Methods to obtain polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies to be used for research or diagnostic applications. Immunometric assays on solid phase, competitive and non-competitive assays, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence in optical and confocal microscopy.
