Training objectives
- This course has the objective to teach the student the main eziological, clinical and neuroimaging classificative systems for ischemic stroke and their implications in acute treatment and secondary prophylaxis.
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge of cerebral circulation anatomy and physiology and of vascular pathology
Course programme
- Seminars about ischemic stroke classificative systems, diagnostic work up, acute treatments (pharmacological, endovascular and surgical) and secondary prophylaxis (pharmacological and surgical)
