Training objectives
- To get a good knowledge of the human body, in particular of the first region of the alimentary tract.
Prerequisites
- Adequate knowledge about the mammalian cell structure and the mechanisms regulating cell functions, as well as about the structural and functional organization of tissues and the mechanisms regulating cell communication.
Course programme
- General features of bones and joints. Functional anatomy of vertebral column and thorax. Appendicular skeleton: upper limb, skeletal pelvis, lower limb. Muscles of thorax and abdomen and respiratory mechanisms. Muscles of the pelvis. Individual bones of cranium and facial skeleton. Cranial and exocranial fossae. General structure of external and middle hear. Orbital cavities. Nose and paranasal sinuses. Morphology of temporomandibular joints (ATM). Muscles producing movements of mandible. Oral cavity and related structures, salivary glands. Anterolateral muscles and fasciae of the neck.
Mechanism of deglutition and of speech production. Didactic methods
- Frontal lesson, guided exercises of macroscopic anatomy on anatomical models, human and animal preparations, online lessons. Online tutorials, on the Moodle Certified platform, will provide insight into some of the topics discussed in the frontal lessons and indicated by the teacher at the beginning of the course.
