Training objectives
- To get a good knowledge of the human body, in particular of the first region of the alimentary tract.
Prerequisites
- Adequate knowledge about the mammalian cell structure and the mechanisms regulating cell functions, as well as about the structural and functional organization of tissues and the mechanisms regulating cell communication.
Course programme
General features of bones and joints. Functional anatomy of vertebral column and thorax. Appendicular skeleton: upper limb, skeletal pelvis, lower limb. Muscles of thorax and abdomen and respiratory mechanisms. Muscles of the pelvis. Individual bones of cranium and facial skeleton. Cranial fossae and foramina. General structure of middle hear. Temporomandibular joints (ATM). Muscles producing movements of mandible. Nose and paranasal sinuses. Oral cavity and related structures, salivary glands. Anterolateral muscles and fasciae of the neck.
