PEDIATRICS
The course has got the main aim to give knowledge on psychomotor development from birth to childhood and adolescence. Moreover, data on the following important topics will be provided:
- Pediatric nutrition and integration with minerals and vitamins
- Acute systemic diseases with compliances involving the mouth and oral apparatus
- Respiratory diseases involving the oral apparatus

ORTHODONTICS
During the first course in Orthodontics, students are fully trained in correct diagnosis in growing patients. Several methods necessary for identifying the type of malocclusion (static and dynamic cephalometry) are taught, as well as the causes that contribute to their development, and the various stages of growth in the patient.

PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY
The course aims to present the main clinical problems inherent in the pediatric population regarding diseases of the mouth, and its annexes, and the orthodontic manifestations of systemic diseases.
The aim is to provide the student with the diagnostic-therapeutic foundations of pediatric pathologies with expression at the level of the oral cavity and in particular cases also systemic. Prerequisites

- PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY
A 15-20 minutes oral examination is realized for each student. During the exam, the candidate answers to 2 or 3 questions about the main issues of the course. The teacher sometimes hypothesizes clinical situations and photos of clinical cases are used to test the acquired knowledge of the student.
PEDIATRICS
Multiple choice test with 31 questions. In order to pass the exam, it is mandatory to correctly answer to 18 questions. In case all answers are correct, the vinal mark will be 30 cum laude. The timing for the test will be of one hour.
ORTHODONTICS
Written exam with multiple choice questions. Marks are given as the sum of the correct answers; no negative marking is applied.
THE FINAL GRADE IS A WEIGHTED AVERAGE OF THE MARKS OBTAINED IN EACH TESTS. Reference texts
