Training objectives
- To acquire clinical and technical knowledge of planning, realization and application of removable prosthesis, aimed at the rehabilitation of partial and total edentulism.
Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge in anatomy, dental material, stomatologic special pathology, conservative dentistry
Course programme
- Edentulism and its consequences. Visiting the edentoulous patient. Pre-treatment. Impression of edentoulous jaws
How to establish Vertical Dimension of Occlusion (VDO) and Maxillomandibular Relationship. The positioning of posterior teeth.
Systems to anchorage by means of hooks and attacks (precision, semiprecision, cutter). Didactic methods
- Frontal lessons and practical esercises
Learning assessment procedures
- Ongoing evaluation: about 3 questions on the topics of the course; average duration 20-30 min; the candidate must exhibit the understanding of the topics of the course and the capacity of applying in the clinical practice.
