Training objectives
- The course provides the student with a grounding in:
-basic evaluation and rehabilitation practices in speech disorders in children (specific language and learning disorders; secondary language disorders; phono-articulation disorders), observed in SMRIA surgeries (Medical Services for Adolescents and Children) and university hospital setting
-skills laboratory is strictly linked to attendance at practical training providing setting up of evaluation and rehabilitation programmes and, if required, preparation and construction of individually tailored rehabilitation. Prerequisites
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the respiratory apparatus, phonation and articulation, the ear and CNS.
Knowledge of the theories of language development and relative physiological phases Course programme
- Gradual presentation of evaluation and rehabilitation methods concerning the pathologies observed during attendance at various health services.
Didactic methods
- Theory and practical exercises regarding evaluation tests and appropriate rehabilitation tools
Learning assessment procedures
- Exam at the end of second term
