Training objectives

Ability of practical application of measurement criteria and rehabilitation of disorders resulting from communicative-linguistic deafness, language, learning, cognitive-general language, aphasia and dysarthria, dysphonia and dysphagias
Acquisition of rehabilitation techniques of linguistic-communicative disorders resulting from deafness, language, learning, cognitive-general language, aphasia and dysarthria, dysphonia and dysphagias.

Prerequisites

Theoretical knowledge of rehabilitative models of linguistic-communicative disorders resulting from deafness, language, learning, cognitive-general language, aphasia and dysarthria, dysphonia and dysphagias.

Course programme

Internship: internships are carried out in facilities in the area where both speech therapists working for the rehabilitation of adults and children, both in outpatient and inpatient.
Laboratory: Students enrolled in the third year regularly attend surgeries Deglutologia phonosurgery Hospital and St. Anne's, a new center of Cona.
Seminar: "The tracheostomy tube and feeding alternative": lecture and discussion of clinical cases.

Didactic methods

Students attend the rehabilitation sessions and speech therapy evaluation, actively participate where indicated and required by the tutor and learn the management of the clinical case through discussion with the tutor.

Learning assessment procedures

Exam at the end of second term.
