Training objectives

Knowing how to evaluate and rehabilitate linguistic communicative disorders resulting from deafness, disturbances of language and learning disorders cognitive-linguistic general, the 'aphasia and dysarthria, the dysphonias and dysphagias.
Acquire ability to intervene with rehabilitation techniques appropriate to the severity of the disorder and the patient's age be it in children or geriatric or adult age in all areas listed above.

Prerequisites

Theoretical knowledge of rehabilitative models of linguistic-communicative disorders resulting from deafness, language, learning, cognitive-general language, aphasia and dysarthria, dysphonia and dysphagias.

Course programme

All training activities are carried out in facilities in the area where both speech therapists working for the rehabilitation of adults and children, both in outpatient and inpatient.

Didactic methods

Students attend the rehabilitation sessions and speech therapy evaluation, actively participate where indicated and required by the tutor and learn the management of the clinical case through discussion with the tutor.

Learning assessment procedures

The exam is scheduled for oral mode: the allotted time is 30 minutes for each candidate. It will be offered a clinical case to be framed and discussed by the student which will also be asked for the simulation of taking charge logopedica patient described in the case, from assessment to treatment.
